All cultures have developed their own mythologies in order to explain the origins of nature and the cosmos, from the animistic belief systems of the ancient hunters to the Mother Earth cult of agrarian societies. Artists as a group and the artists in this exhibition in particular are interested in re-connecting with the ancient, universal myths and in creating metaphors reflecting the revolutionary new insights of the sciences and the social media.
