Kevin Jones

Kevin Jones combines the curiosity of artist and scientist in his exploration of the natural world. He uses the symbolic language of established scientific disciplines like Chemistry or Physics in order to create his own conceptual taxonomy of signs and systems. Kevin uses a variety of media—painting, physical computing, time based media and 2-dimensional digital prints. At first glance, the resulting images appear to be familiar, but in trying to decipher them they become mysterious and ultimately undecipherable. Kevin Jones offers a more sensual view point of the physical world, one that appears to question the near ubiquitous acceptance of a solely evidence based culture.
